Using the flowchart

1. Patch Test — Safety First

What to Do:

Apply a small amount of the mixed color formula behind the ear or on the inner wrist. Leave on for 45 minutes, rinse thoroughly, then wait 48 hours. Observe for any signs of redness, itching, burning, or irritation.

Why:

Hair color products contain active oxidative systems, and individual skin sensitivity varies. Performing a patch test in advance helps effectively minimize allergy risks and ensures compatibility with your skin.

User Tip:

Although VAAIG features an ammonia-free, PPD-free, low-irritation formula designed to significantly reduce sensitivity and enhance comfort, a patch test is still essential every time — even if you’ve colored your hair before. Skin sensitivity can change over time.

2. Prep — Get Ready for Salon Results

What to Do:

① Try Not to Wash Hair

Avoid washing your hair for at least 24 hours before coloring. This allows the scalp’s natural oils to form a protective barrier, reducing irritation.

② Detangle Dry Hair

Gently comb through dry hair to remove tangles and ensure even application.

③ Wear Protective Gloves

Protect your hands from direct contact with the color formula.

Why:

Proper preparation helps minimize scalp irritation, ensures even color coverage, and delivers cleaner, more professional-looking results.

User Tip:

VAAIG’s complete at-home salon kit includes everything you need — no additional purchases required.

3. Mix — Activate the Color

What to Do:

According to the instructions, combine the Permanent Cream Color, Color Developer, and Couture Scent Oil. Shake or stir thoroughly until the mixture becomes smooth and uniform.

Why:

Precise ratios and complete mixing ensure:

• Stable color development

• Even pigment distribution

• Prevention of patchiness or uneven tone

VAAIG’s balanced pH control system ensures smooth blending, consistent color results, and enhanced scalp comfort — as long as the formula is fully activated.

User Tip:

Use immediately after mixing for optimal performance.

4. Apply — Precision Coverage

What to Do:

First, section hair into four parts: front, back, left, and right. Apply the formula starting from the mid-lengths and ends, finishing with the roots. The creamy texture ensures smooth, mess-free application at home.

Why:

Roots process faster due to higher scalp temperature. Applying them last prevents overly dark roots and under-processed ends.

User Tip:

For gray coverage, reverse the order — apply to roots first, then mid-lengths and ends.

5. Process — Let the Color Develop

What to Do:

Cover hair with a processing cap and leave on for approximately 30 minutes.

Why:

This allows pigments to fully penetrate and lock into the hair fibers, ensuring optimal color development.

User Tip:

• Normal hair: 30 minutes

• Coarse or resistant hair: 30–35 minutes

• Fine, fragile, or damaged hair: 25–30 minutes

Longer processing does not mean darker color. Overprocessing may increase damage and cause the shade to appear overly dark.

6. Rinse & Care — Seal in Shine

What to Do:

Add a small amount of lukewarm water and gently massage to emulsify for 1–2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Apply the Color-Lock Hair Care Mask for 5 minutes, then rinse.

Why:

Emulsification helps loosen residual pigments, reducing scalp irritation and chemical residue while enhancing freshness. Our botanical-infused mask boosts shine, softness, and long-lasting color vibrancy.

User Tip:

Avoid shampooing for 24 hours to allow full color stabilization.
