Post-dyeing care

High-end at-home hair coloring is more than just changing your hair shade — it’s a comprehensive treatment for hair and scalp health. VAAIG adheres to the philosophy of “professional-grade color + medical-grade scalp care,” making post-color care a core part of the coloring process. This ensures that every consumer not only achieves their desired color but also maintains healthy, smooth, and shiny hair, with a comfortable scalp after coloring.
After coloring, the hair cuticles remain temporarily open, and pigments are gradually stabilizing inside the hair shaft. Improper post-color care at this stage can lead to rapid color fading, dryness, frizz, and even scalp discomfort. Proper aftercare helps extend color longevity, improve hair softness, and keep the scalp healthy — delivering the true premium at-home coloring experience.
Our formula is low-irritation, strictly controlled for heavy metals, and validated by multiple international cosmetic safety certifications. They help repair and protect the scalp barrier in coloring, reducing redness, itching, stinging, and dryness — making it safe even for sensitive scalps. After dyeing, you may experience mild scalp tightness or sensitivity. In such cases, we recommend using a soothing scalp spray or repair serum, gently massaging to aid absorption.
Within the first 48 hours after coloring, avoid washing your hair, swimming, hot springs, or exposure to high-temperature steam to minimize pigment loss and scalp irritation. Additionally, avoid frequent use of high-heat styling tools, such as blow dryers or curling irons, which can reopen the cuticles and accelerate fading.
The first shampoo should be at least 48 hours after coloring. Use warm water, gently lather a color-protecting shampoo, and avoid vigorous scrubbing. Pair with a mildly acidic conditioner or hair mask to help close the cuticles.
VAAIG CLEAN COLOR Series uses a PH 2.5 acidic color-developing system, using with the included post-color hair mask, to professionally close the cuticles, lock pigment deep inside the hair shaft, and extend color longevity — all while keeping hair shiny and smooth.
For ongoing daily care, continue using color-protecting shampoo and conditioner, minimize strong cleansing or exfoliating products, control high-heat styling, and reduce UV exposure. These steps help maintain stable, vibrant, and natural-looking color for longer.
