Pre-dyeing preparation

Premium At-Home Hair Color · Complete Pre-Color Guide

I. Everything You’re Worried About — We’ve Already Thought Through

Most pre-color concerns usually come down to four key questions:

 1. Will the color go wrong?

The VAAIG CLEAN COLOR Series features a professional-grade color control system combined with a highly stable formula structure. When applied according to instructions, the results are highly predictable, consistent, and reliable — far more stable than traditional dyes.

This significantly reduces the risk of common coloring mishaps such as patchiness, hot roots, green or ashy tones, and uneven saturation.

 Pro Tip:
Choosing the right shade and carefully following the instructions will greatly minimize the risk of color failure.

2. Will it damage my hair?

VAAIG CLEAN COLOR is not simply a dye — it is a “color + care + treatment” all-in-one system.

Our gentle formula replaces harsh, damaging ingredients and utilize advanced coloring technologies to repair and protect the hair cuticle during the coloring process, significantly reducing dryness, frizz, and breakage commonly caused by traditional high-alkaline dyes.

3. Will it irritate my scalp or cause allergies?

VAAIG follows strict heavy metal control standards, global safety certifications, and mandatory pre-color allergy testing protocols.

This multi-layered safety system is designed to minimize irritation and discomfort, ensuring a gentle, soothing coloring experience — even for sensitive scalps.

III. How Many Boxes Do I Need?

To ensure even coverage with no missed spots or rework, please select the appropriate quantity based on your hair length and thickness.

Pro Tip:

It’s better to have one extra box than to run out mid-application. Insufficient product is the most common cause of uneven color, patchiness, and the need for reapplication — which can ultimately lead to more hair damage.

IV. Allergy Patch Test — A Must Before Every Application

Hair dyes contain active ingredients, and individual sensitivities vary. A patch test is required before every coloring session.

 How to test:

Mix a small amount of color and apply it behind the ear or on the inner wrist.

Wait 48 hours and observe for redness, itching, burning, swelling, or rash.

If any reaction occurs, please discontinue use immediately!

V. Additional Pre-Color Preparation

① Do not wash hair 48 hours before coloring

Natural scalp oils form a protective barrier, reducing irritation.

② Avoid perming or bleaching within one week

This prevents excessive damage and uneven color absorption.

③ Nourish dry ends in advance

Apply a hair mask 1–2 days before coloring to increase moisture levels and prevent overly dark results at the ends.
